Abbotsley Hotel, Golf & Country Club

The Cromwell Golf Club is the original home to the Abbotsley golf Club with 4 of the holes coming from the original course layout.

At only 6153 off the back tees, with younger trees, it is the more forgiving of the 2 courses and is ideally suited to the more novice player. However the fast, true and contoured greens make the Cromwell an enjoyable and stern test for even the most experienced player.

Strategic placement of the pin positions can really make you have to think your way around to avoid some rollercoaster putts.

There are plenty of holes to really test, with the long 6th hole requiring arrow straight driving to try and avoid the trees, out of bounds and tricky bunkering, whereas the 15th picks out the brave with a long second shot over the brook required to find the small sloping green and give any chance of a par.
